Charging of electric cars

BIIQ is focused on charging of e-vehicles.
The e-mobility has entered the market and is in its ramp-up time. The goals of the German Federal Government to achieve one million authorised e-vehicles until 2020 and 6 millions of them until 2030 are in fact to highly planned, but the trend (400,000 until 2030) cannot be stopped any more. It assumes a suitable charging infrastructure. The charging infrastructure market is a future market into which one has to invest sustainably.

A possibly high number of charges a day assumes an optimal place, for example in agglomerations and along the main roads. Interesting are first of all parking lots, too, for example in front of restaurants, shopping centres or DIY stores to enable the users of e-vehicles to charge them in a comfortable and time saving way while doing shopping.
According to the National Platform of Electric Mobility (NPE) an average number of quick DC-charges a day will amount to at least 4.

If the locations are optimal, one can expect > than 10 charges a day. The price for a charge is still different at the moment. The present prices for quick DC-charges amount to 8 – 15 EUR. The charging time from the BIIQ is 10 times faster than in a home garage or at another public charging station.


In the meantime photovoltaic modules are connected in Germany without a limit with the energy revolution. They are well visible and show the customers as well as the staff members that the charging station is supplied with own electricity, produced in a regenerative way.

It supports by itself for customers which do not possess an e-vehicle a positive perception of the providing company. But the perception of charging points in the public area is so far difficult. The perception will explicitly improve thanks to the development of the BIIQ.

The company will directly benefit from this change of image. Because thanks to providing an innovative charging infrastructure the customer receives information about the progressiveness and sustainability of the company.


The “Governmental Programme for the Electric Mobility” assumes inter alia money to support the infrastructure. It amounts as a whole to 300 millions EUR. 200 millions from the sum are dropped for the development of a publicly accessible quick charging infrastructure. It means for the company not only a higher prestige and image, but also a financial support.

Difference between AC-/DC-charging
(duration and charging power):

  • AC: alternating current charging with about 3.6 kW. Charging time at 36 KWh of the vehicle accumulator capacity: more than 10 hours if it is charged from a grid 220 Volt. With the BIIQ 22 kW are possible, it means after about 1 ¾ hours the process of charging is finished.
  • DC: direct current charging with 50 kW of the BIIQ-installation: Charging time at 36 KWh of the vehicle accumulator capacity: about 45 minutes.
